Sign Up FreeLago Maggiore Full Reverse presents a technical challenge with its rapid direction changes and elevation shifts. Precision through its complex sequences is paramount for optimal lap times.
Setup Focus
- Suspension: Stiffer anti-roll bars and a slightly firmer spring rate to manage body roll through the esses and chicanes.
- Brakes: Good brake bias adjustment is crucial for consistent braking into the hairpins and chicanes.
- Aerodynamics: A balanced downforce level that provides stability at high speeds without sacrificing too much straight-line speed.
Corner Analysis
First Hairpin Complex
Tight right-left hairpin sequence
First Hairpin Complex

Technique
Brake early and trail brake into the first right-hander, focusing on a late apex to carry momentum through the left. Avoid running wide on exit as the track narrows.
Apex Strategy
Late apex on the first right, then a mid-apex on the left.
The Esses
Fast, undulating left-right-left sequence
The Esses

Technique
Requires precise steering inputs and commitment. Focus on maintaining a smooth line and resisting the urge to over-correct. Use the slight elevation changes to your advantage to keep the car balanced.
Apex Strategy
Flowing apexes, aiming to kiss the inside kerbs without going over.
The Chicanes
Fast left-right and right-left chicanes
The Chicanes

Technique
These are high-speed direction changes. Brake firmly but progressively before the first chicane, get a good run through it, and be ready to turn in immediately for the second. Patience and a clean entry/exit are key to avoiding spins.
Apex Strategy
Early apex for the first part, late apex for the second part of each chicane.
The Double Right
Two progressively tighter right-handers
The Double Right
VIDEO COMING SOON
Technique
Brake for the first right, aiming for a mid-apex. As you exit, immediately prepare for the second, tighter right. Use the full width of the track on entry for the first and focus on a late apex for the second to maximize exit speed onto the main straight.
Apex Strategy
Mid-apex on the first right, late apex on the second right.

Critical Risks
Common mistakes at this circuit
- ⚠ Sudden elevation changes can unsettle the car, especially under braking.
- ⚠ Tightening radius corners require precise throttle control to avoid understeer or oversteer.
- ⚠ The narrow nature of some sections makes overtaking risky and punishes minor errors severely.
