Setup Focus

  • Aerodynamics: A balanced setup with sufficient downforce for high-speed stability (Esses, Turn 1) without excessive drag for the long straights. Slightly higher rear downforce can aid stability over crests.
  • Suspension: Needs to be compliant enough to handle the elevation changes and aggressive curb usage without unsettling the car, yet firm enough for quick direction changes. Good rebound settings are crucial for maintaining tire contact over bumps.

Technique

Maintain momentum through the Esses (T2-T4) with minimal steering. For The Dip (T5), brake *before* the blind crest, turn in early, and let the car run wide on exit. It's easy to understeer or oversteer due to the elevation and camber changes.

Early apex for T5 (The Dip) to carry speed through the compression, using the full width on exit.

Technique

This corner demands commitment. Brake early and trail brake into the corner, letting the car settle before applying full throttle on exit. The downhill nature can make the rear light, requiring precise throttle control.

Technique

This is a major lap time determinant. Brake hard and late for 10A, use the curb aggressively on both sides of the chicane. Get the car straight as quickly as possible to maximize exit speed onto the main straight. Avoid over-driving and losing momentum.

Apex Strategy

Aggressively clip the inside curb of 10A, then aim for a late apex on 10B to ensure a straight exit onto the pit straight.
