Delete Your Apex Telemetry Account
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This page is for everyone who uses Apex Telemetry on the website, in the desktop app or in the Android app. It explains how to delete your account and exactly what happens to your data afterwards. Our Privacy Policy describes the same process.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to your Apex Telemetry account on apex-telemetry.com/account. In the Android app, open the Account tab, which shows the same page.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Choose Deactivate Account, type deactivate to confirm, and confirm.
That is the deletion. It takes effect immediately and you are signed out everywhere. We send one last email to your address to confirm it.
If you cannot sign in (for example you forgot your password or your account is locked), send an email from the address of your account to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is your account and delete it within 30 days.
What happens to your data
Deleted straight away, and it can no longer be restored:
- Your name and your email address.
- Your login: the password is destroyed and the password recovery options are removed, so nobody can sign in to the account again, not even you or us.
- Your subscription, which is cancelled, and your customer record at our payment provider (name and email address).
- Your newsletter subscription and your email preferences.
- Your feedback comments, notes you wrote about your sessions, and your support tickets and messages.
- The IP address, country and city that were saved with feedback you sent.
Kept, but no longer connected to you:
- Your lap times and your session history (the laps, cars and tracks you drove). We keep them so that leaderboard times and our overall driving records stay correct for everyone else. After deletion they carry no name, no email address and no other contact detail. Nobody, including us, can link them to you, and they cannot be traced back to a person.
What we cannot delete ourselves:
- Payment and billing records. Our payment provider, Stripe, must keep invoices and payment records for the period required by law (for example tax and accounting rules), even though your customer record is deleted. We do not use them for anything else.
- Backups. Routine backups are overwritten automatically on a rolling schedule. We never restore a deleted account from a backup.
