[+] Driving Tips
- Trail brake to keep the nose pointed - the mid-engine layout rewards this technique
- Be patient on throttle after the apex to avoid rear snap
- Use the low weight advantage by maximising corner entry speed
- In the wet, soften ARBs across the board and add 1-2 clicks of TC
[!] Track Analysis — Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit
Where and how to drive on this track for the best lap time.
The Esses
3rd gearComplex of fast, flowing left and right hand corners
Requires a smooth, precise line. Focus on carrying momentum through the sequence. Early inputs are crucial. Aim to be as straight as possible on corner exit to maximize speed onto the Conrod Straight.
The Cutting
2nd gearSteep downhill right-hand turn leading into a sharp left-hander
Brake firmly and trail brake into the right-hander. Be careful not to run too wide on exit as the track narrows. Quickly transition to the left-hander, looking for a late apex to carry speed onto the uphill section.
Chase and the Chase Straight
3rd gear into the corner, accelerating through to 5th/6th on the straightUphill right-hander leading into a long, fast straight
The right-hander requires a good exit to gain maximum speed for the Chase Straight. Be mindful of the wall on the left. Maintain a clean line and avoid touching the kerbs on the exit to prevent a spin.
